for the first time my eleven year old little brother has gotten a brand new pair of skis. we found a great deal on last years surface next lifes in a size 145. he is 4'6" and about average weight for an athletic 4'6' person, that being said the kid shreds. i mean really shreds, like way way way better than i was at his age and ive been skiing since i could stand. he is not a park skier and these would be his do everything west coast ski. so taking into account his height, weight, age, and skill level, are these skis too big for him? the tips sit about 1.5inches above his head but the ski has crazy rocker for its size. i ride my everyday skis 1.5 inch above my head but i am not an eleven year old. we would keep the skis even if they are too big because the deal was so good and he can just grow into them in a year or two but are they too big for him to comfortably ride right now?
short version: little brother got some new planks size 145- hes 4'6", aprox 80 pounds- he is a very amazing skier- ARE THEY TOO LARGE?
