GregFlikYou could try just putting something that is hydrophobic on the sections. Hydrophobic means it repels water, but the issue that I'm thinking of is that it will wear off fairly often, so you would need to reapply the material constantly. If you have the money, try to get them welded together. I feel like it is dangerous skiing on those sticks with that much edge missing.

I am not certain that you understand the welding process.
You would need either a laser welder or a some sort of TIG-jesus to not just set fire to your skis.
