Okay I'm new to cameras filming and editing. Where is a good place to start learning. Should I learn about cameras and how to really use them not just on auto point and shoot or start somewhere else. I already have all the adobes and I know how to use premier and photo shop. Tips or tricks or what you did to excel in filming and editing, Don't hate I'm new to this.Thanks.{Btw I have a good camera and computer I just need to know how to really use them.}
Practice. Google the exposure triangle. Watch "making of" videos, watch edits, always try to learn. When you make an edit, ask for constructive criticism, and be open to it. Lastly, PM people on here. Many will take it as a compliment, and most if not all are happy to help get a new guy started. The only thing I would say to stay away from at first is things about handling digital files. You can edit native footage to start out, if you start doing color correction, try using ProRes (or equivalent), and then export at like 8000kbps (1080p for youtube). Don't spend hours looking for the perfect workflow, it is the video equivalent of the photo review guys who only shoot brick walls.
