Every where I have looked every resort is low on natural snowfall, especially here in the midwest. After one of the best Novembers for snowfall, December continues to look extremely dry here in the mitten. What's everyone's extended forecast looking like?
Boreal got like 12 inches of snow last weekend and they opened another run. Northstar and heavenly are still closed I believe but mt. Rose is open as well.
Accuweather says 51F this weekend for central MN, I don't mind warmer weather but I also want there to be some snow left over when it's all set and done.
mt bachelor has a base in the 50's right now i think? and Tahoe is getting hit pretty hard with severe storm warnings wed-fri....I know heavenly is looking at something like getting 22" on wednesday and another 11" on thursday! only thing getting me through finals!

Like what the hell, Minnesota is supposed to be subzero by this point in December.

Getting SLAMMED in the northeast tonight boys! Ontop of one of the best snowmaking early seasons in memory!
It skiied kinda shitty. Still a fun morning at the Loaf but the rain was too much by noon. Good base up there SR just got rain and I bet most of the East is the same.
I hit up Hunter mtn yesterday in the catskills... They got about 10-12" up top and got a few more last night. It was a great time. It was raining for a few hours but we made the best of it. The snow was cement down low but some POW! up top

Well, Framer's Almanac is spot of for the North East....The rest of 'merica, yeah not really.
Tha map is like an average I was reading the almanac and so far they have been right. They said the Midwest was going to have a colder than normal November and they also said the Rockies would too. They were right there. Then they said a warmer than normal December, so far they are right. They say January will be colder than normal, so that's good. They have been pretty good this year.
Northwest is worse, haven't even opened any mountains locally to the fullest. We have the precips for it, but it is so warm, upper 50's in the city and low 40's in the mountains. Today we are supposed to have winds reaching 70mph in Seattle but from the south so it's a low pressure and full of warm wet air, nothing that will help our season till this weekend, possibly Friday.
I am afraid I won't be skiing until Christmas time. Compared to last year where we were skiing the day before thanksgiving and Black Friday, to say the least, I am bummed.
I live in southern ontario and honestly, snowfall has been shitty here. We were supposed to get 30cm yesterday but ended up getting maybe 10. I made a flat down handrail in shop class last year and I'm going to try setting it up tonight with the 6-7 inches of snow we have here and hopefully it'll work.
