College with d3 soccer and good skiing

Help me out, I'm looking for a college with a d3 mens soccer team, close to good skiing, and good academics that I could get into with a 3.3 gpa and 30 act. Thanks ns

Messiah College. Their soccer team is a powerhouse, and the closest skiing is about 7 miles away. Wouldn't call it "good skiing" though. haha

Come to bowdoin. we have a van to sugarloaf/sunday river every weekend and good academics. I dont know how good at soccer you are tho.

All great schools for that criteria, but I think that Colby and Bates are the only ones I would apply to with a 3.3 tho.

Really wasn't expecting to see Messiah College on here, definitely not good skiing, unless you want to just lap a park all day.

Its a fun school, pretty small like 3000 kids i think, maybe more. i was in the business department which has all the same accreditations as CU. skiing is 30 minutes away to purgatory. then you have wolf creek, silverton and telluride all within 2 hours.

Haha I go there, and figured I'd throw the suggestion out there haha. Roundtop isn't that great, but it's literally not even a 10 minute drive, so I'm not complaining haha.

Applying to Bowdoin or Middlebury with a 3.3 isn't all that ridiculous. I know plenty of people who have been accepted by Middlebury and Bowdoin, but not Colby and/or Bates.

As far as those schools are ski wise, in order of best to worst, it's: Middlebury, Colby, Bates, Bowdoin, Williams

I'd disagree with you. Middlebury and Bowdoin are much harder to get into than Colby or Bates. Also, dont discount Williams for skiing. It is incredibly close to Jiminy Peak, which although isnt the best, it is a much closer drive than Bowdoin to any resorts.

Harder, yes, but not by a substantial amount. A 3.3 isn't great for any of the schools.

Nah I mean it's d3 so I don't think their technically supposed to recruit. That's not to say that they don't anyways but for me playing college soccer is more of a dream, so I would be a walk on. I have a chance to be recruited for some small colleges close to home but I don't want to go to some shitty college in minnesota

There are some rich douches here at Colby. Some are smart. Some are not. There are also normal people who have taken out loans and are getting scholarships from Colby. Generalizing makes you look like an idiot who's sore he wasn't able to get in.

I hate to break it to you but most college level soccer won't let you ski that much. Also I'd consider trying to play d2 in a lower conference rather than d3 because you can at least get a scholarship there. If you are any good at soccer then a 3.3 is going to get you in pretty much to any lower division school. Have you considered Portland, OR? Or Seattle, WA? Both have a great soccer following with tons of schools that have soccer teams and both are close to great skiing. If you have any questions feel free to pm me. Good luck bro.

Plymouth State is D3 for soccer I think. Waterville, Cannon, Loon, and Gunstock all under 45 minutes away from school

Really, not that much harder. Again, it's not all that uncommon to see someone get rejected by Colby and Bates but accepted by Bowdoin or Middlebury, so the difference can't be all that big.

Fort lewis has an unreal d2 soccer program and some of the best skiing around the area. I would look into it if I were you.

college sports plus skiing don't mix well. if skiing is really you main thing you will probably only last a season or two and then want to transfer. trust me.

college sports are a great experience but so is skiing 5 days a week. find out which one is more important to you and send it fully.
