Dead cat

I just found out that a dead cat is a microphone for your camera. All this time I had a dead cat on my camer a while filming. What is a good mircrophone for filming on snow. 100$ or under preferable if that is possible. thank you and if your gonna say check the search bar or hate on me just don't be dicks that's all I'm asking.

I use a rhode Videomic pro.

I like it. ~$200 on BHphoto. The non-pro version is probably sweet as well and is around $100.


The deadcat is the windmuff that goes over the mic to stop unwanted wind from hitting the mic's input...

Yeah a deadcat is not actually a microphone its a microphone accessory. Rode videomic Go is $100, a rode videomic is also a good choice but more. You wont get a decent mic for under 100 new. Used is a whole other story.

I love my RODE Videomic Pro. Would recommend. You get what you are paying for in comparison to the Videomic and Videomic go.
