Tips and tricks for a ski edit?

For school we have this thing every Friday called CTF and we work on something we like. I like making videos but i have never made a ski edit that is 10 to 15 minutes long which is what I'm doing. What tips do you guys have to make this "movie" half decent and fun to watch?

Try to incorporate some sort of fun storyline, it'll be extremely hard to make a 10-15 min video of just action based shots

I always like if the footage on action shots are matched to the beat of whatever song is in the background. It can be tedious, but really helps people get into the edit.
