So I just got some 2012 masterminds and I think they are sweet but one of my friends says they are the shittiest thing that line makes so I was looking for an answer to this

They're a price point ski, so you'd be lying if you said corners hadn't been cut.

They are floppier then pool noodles and butterier than butter you left in the microwave for too long. They are super light. The tips delaminate if you touch anything with them, and the bases burn super fast. Edges are pretty tough but with such a floppy ski they are practically useless. I have a pair with the edges literally rounded for use as urban/rock skis. Haven't pulled a binding out yet though, or done anyhing too bad to the topsheet (other than delaminating it).. I'll give them that
Do not but unless you are 12 and getting your first park ski.
