Wide, Durable, Playful park ski

What ski fits the tile. I was thinking of getting the on3p filty riches. For 600$ I want to know if they are the best I can get for my money or are there better skis that fit the title for that price that are better? Thanks

88 underfoot is by no means "wide". But since we all know ON3P is durable maybe check out kartel 98 or 106. Wide, durable, and how can they not be playful with all that rocker?

Honestly the Caravan could be what you are looking for. Handmade in Montana, I had a blast on them all last season.

Maybe you should define "wide" as most would call the Filthy Rich narrow now a days.

That being said, they're an amazing ski. Super fun, carve really well, very durable, playful yet still stable. They've been my go to park ski for the past 3 seasons now, and they will probably always have a place in my quiver as long as ON3P continues to make them.

Filthy will be softer but skinnier, Kartel will be stiffer but wider. Both will carve hard and be equally durable. Filthy will be slightly lighter and spin faster, Kartel will be slightly better all mountain. Really depends on your style.

J skis may not be a bad thing to look into as well. And if you don't like them you can send them back for a full money return and get ON3P. That's what I would do if I was dropping $600...I would play it safe

Idk man haha i was just trying to make a suggestion and if your dropping $600 why not play it safe so you know you like the ski? Suprised I got downvoted too. The main reason I did suggest them is because of the "you'll love them or money back guarantee". And hey, j skis uses the same materials as ON3P and Jason probably knows a thing or two about skis so I'm guessing they're oretty durable

Not entirely true...the edges are the same, that's about it.

Same construction is more accurate than same materials right? But still you both advertise the same edge and base thickness. Now that I think about it that is about it since ON3P uses bamboo cores and most likely different topsheets. But still pretty much the same construction. And I'm not trying to be "Jason lover", I'm just saying if your spending $600 maybe play it safe and try some j skis out first.

That would actually be less accurate. Yes, ON3P and Jskis uses the same edge and possibly the same base (I don't know what he uses, but they are the same thickness because they have to be). Other than that, they're completely different design and construction.

I understand what you're saying, but there's other things to consider than just edge thickness. Bamboo will be a more responsive and smoother flex, as well as more durable core than maple. Topsheets don't matter, but those are different. The sidewall material used is similar. But, the other thing to consider is how the ski performs, they both ski very differently. For example, the FR provides a smooth flex that feels soft but skis stable, while the Whipit is much softer. They'll both carve very differently. I'm not saying JSkis are bad...just different and to compare the two based on the materials used isn't enough.
