So i got this epoxy...

I dont really know how to use it... I dont really wanna fuck up my skis... its in 2 tubes and you sort of inject it and mix it together... So does anyone have any ideas on how to do this without fucking it up?

squeeze it out onto something useless (styrofoam works) and mix it together. if it's the 24 hour stuff (which it probably is) then I usualy let it set about 5 minutes before I start working with it. It's just a bit less liquidy that way. Then use a little stick of some sort and apply where needed. Let it sit 24 hours and you should be good to go. For the first 4-ish hours check whatever you're doing every once in a while to make sure it doesn't bubble up or something.

side wall/top sheet... it cut right through... i think it takes 16 hours to set?...

yeah, squeeze it out, mix it up (popsicle stick), and slap it on. if you need to clamp anything, use plastic wrap over it, it wont stick. then, sand or trim any scrap with an x-acto blade. its pretty basic shit.

^use wax paper
and be careful of styrofoam, some stuff just desolves it; not sure if epoxy will, but just in case.

epoxy wont hurt foams, but polyurathane resin will eat right trough it. and wax paper works too, you just have to worry about peeling it apart. vinyl or peel ply is your best bet though (used in lamination processes to keep surfaces clean)

This guy said to make a tape barrier so it doesnt drip onto the ski? whats that about and what kind of tape should i use if i do that?

i just use paint tape or masking tape, they both seal out paint or epoxy in this case pretty well and they both leave no sticky residue.







I'll drive it untill the wheels fall off, then I'll buy new wheels!

yeah, its not as hard as it sounds. just think of it as glue, cause thats what it is. your just putting some glue on your ski. i think a monkey could do it.
