Bringing babes to the mountain

What's everyone's take on bringing their gf to the mountain? Do you guys treat it like a normal day?

RachyIf you don't have the patience to teach then you sign them up for a lesson or two. Then you say you'll ski together after the lesson. It's so simple!

If they ask why take a lesson, you simply tell them you aren't a good instructor.

So many relationships could be saved this way.

I ski with guys that are better than me pretty often. All it takes is letting them know my comfort zone and asking them to show me a few things. Guys love showing off.


Hands down best idea yet, lady feedback is the best!

any day where I can ski is a good day, if she's slow I leave her behind and if she gets lost or tired, she can go to the lost and found, where I will pick her up when I am done. then pee in her butt

Took my girlfriend skiing for the first time last winter and it was an awesome time, didn't get to take any park laps that day but that's not why I went. If you look at it that why its way more fun

Gharfmy gf is crazy.

she is actually a decent skier (especially for someone skiing less than 15 days a year), and she will hit any feature if i say she should.

i took her to a pillow zone, and the first run was a bit scary for her.

second run she realized it s all soft snow and hit a 10ft cliff.
i tought her how to hit boxes and small jumps too.

it s really fucking fun skiing with her.

i dont think i would lap the park all day with her as it might bore her a bit, but she enjoy skiing pow so it s all good. :)


You guys are so lucky. I would give anything just to have a skier girlfriend who loves to shred as much as I do...

Took my girlfriend skiing a couple times last year. I didn't get to take any park laps but it was still fun. Took her out first day this year went slow for the most part but then she wanted to take pictures of me doing rails. So I got to end the day hiking a couple rails which was awesome.

Only problem is that she liked it too much and wanted to do it more so I bought her a used setup as an early Christmas present this year... I guess there's worse presents to get her.

Yeah I take my gf to the mountain, its awesome. She can't keep up with me, but is 100% ok with us each doing our own thing. Then again we both are pretty social people so she ends up making friends with people around her skill level and has a blast. End of last season she started hitting smaller boxes and skiing slow tree runs, so eventually I can see her and I actually riding together for an entire day.

I once broght 2 prospective girlfriends to the mountain i wasnt dating either, but i stated 'whoever can keep up with me better and whoever complains less can be my girlfriend' one kept up with me but complained every lift ride. So naturally as an easily aggrivated male i chose to ask the other girl out. It lasted 3 weeks because i was always gone skiing. Oh well

My tip is don't. Do. Not. That is a relationship ruiner.

I dated one guy who couldn't ski and that was bullshit and I'm never doing that again. I love park laps with the bf. He teaches me new things on my snowboard and I teach him new things on skis. It's pretty great.

Agreed. Unless you guys are seasoned enough that you know how to fight, hard, then move on, it's super difficult to teach someone something brand new. I watched a couple break up on the side of the hill when I was a photographer because dude was yelling hard at his lady. I didn't take their photos.

heres my two cents.

if she has skied before, she can at least make it down the hill safely. then why not. by this point she should know how much you enjoy skiing and that it is important to you. she will feel really good to be included in that.


so say she really is bad. pizza down the hill. take her into the park if thats your thing and let her watch you hit jump or a rail to see what its all about and actually see you out there having fun doing it.

so if she is good she will want to be better so you can do it as a couple. and if not it will be a lot easier to understand now that she sees the happiness it brings you. so it being a you thing is no issue.

Okay folks I just got in and we actually had a solid day. She wasn't as good as she said but she partially kept up and got better as the day went. She also liked going into the park to watch me so that was pretty cool too!

Score! Put a camera in her hand so she can feel like she's doing something really helpful for you instead of just skiing in the middle of the park. Just my two cents, if she enjoyed just watching then let her do her thing.

This. Most of the time they will tell you they can ski and you end up dragging them all around the mountain.
Then the complaining starts...
and oh and that ride home from the mountain too, can't forget about that either..


Meet the babes ON the mountain. This way you never waste your time on someone that can't hold their own on the hill.

Last season i took my girlfriend for her first day skiing ever. Shes a gymnast and a pretty talented athlete and I've never seen someone pick it up so quickly . She was doing blues by the end of her first day no problem and by her second day she was hitting little side hits on groomers and trying to 180 on rentals (she never succeeded) . Obviously i didnt get to lap the park but I had a blast skiing with my girlfriend and i know this isnt the case for everyone but just dont expect much and be patient and youll be fine.
