Afterbang protection.

i got a pair of Abangs for my birthday and they are getting chipped on the edge of the topcoat when i am on the lift and they hit together, i see kids with older model Abangs and it looks like the topcoat edge is sanded down to prevent this, not sure if thats the way it used to be or if they just do it to protect their skis from this, i am thinking about doing this and i don't know if i should or not.

i suppose you are talking about the topsheets, many ski companies make skis with terrible topsheets, Fischer is one of those, last I saw/ heard, line had middle of the road top sheets. You can always sand um down but that may mess with the integrity of the side walls, I doubt it. Or just take the chips as if they are battle scars, a story to tell for each one And keep um, if they get really bad, then you can always use super glue, appoxy resin shit, or hot glue to put it back down.

That's just what happens. If you're top sheet is peeling up then you should should epoxy it down before it becomes a huge problem. Some chips in the side? Pretty standard.
