Ski Bindings

I`m new to this site, and have only skied for three years. Can i just unscrew my bindings and put on lighter ones? or will i strip the wood?

once you have bindings, bring them to a ski shop and get them professionally remounted. chances are the hole pattern for the new bindings may be different anyway, but you want to get some new holes drilled and your old holes filled
