how many americans died from ebola recently? (1, and one visitor from another country) how many americans were/are scared of ebola? (about 40%, according to polls)

how many unarmed black men are killed by white cops in america? how many unarmed black CHILDREN are killed by white cops in america?
unfortunately, your government actually chooses not to keep track of these numbers, so i can't tell you. all i can say is that it happens almost every single day.

so this is what an epidemic looks like. this what black americans are afraid of. this is the nightmare every black american is now living in. how it isn't a nightmare for the rest of you, too, is beyond me. i live in canada and this shit keeps me up all night. i can only imagine how my jamaican cousins that moved to america to study feel, all i know is that they think it's time to leave, and i agree. do you?

the "go back to where you came from" mentality strikes an ironic chord with me (the irony of white americans all being immigrants chord was struck a while back), in that if all of the persecuted and marginalized groups in america did actually go elsewhere, what would america be? i imagine a nation in which crusty old racists clean their own toilets, for a change.

James Holmes shot 82 people, killing 12, walked out of a movie theatre armed to the teeth, and was arrested peacefully.

prosecutors never asked Darren if Mike's hands were up.

the medical examiner didn't take photos of Mike Brown's body because they ran out of batteries.

Darren did not complete an incident report, which is a direct violation of Missouri Public Records Law.

Darren's key witness was never there.

I wonder what the people in this thread are thinking about this? Cops walk into an apartment building for a "routine patrol". One of the cops draws his weapon for no reason at all. That cop shoots a man with black skin that the police commissioner states was a totally innocent man simply because that man walked into the same stairwell as the cop.

The cop who murdered an innocent civilian for no other reason than being scared of a dark hallway has his gun and badge taken away but is still free and keeps his job. Yay, the justice system works!

Aside from it being a tad fucked up that its seen as normal for officers to go into apartment buildings with their weapons drawn for no reason at all, this guy was murdered and the cop who did it will never be charged. But omg race baiting! Damn you Al Sharpton!! Your racist but all these cops who happen to be getting away with killing innocent civilians... meh, the civilians are black who cares. They should listen to the cops and do whatever they say... even though half the time the cop shoots them without saying a word.

Not defending this cop, but I do have to chime in on this. The Pink Houses, where this went down, are up there for worst projects in all of NYC. I've done work in one of the buildings and drove by them frequently on my way to other parts of the city and they are horrible.

However, his gun shouldn't have been drawn for no reason and he should be charged with something.

i never said they were the only ones suffering. but you can't deny that shooting an unarmed black person every 28 hours is scary for black people, and not so much white people. i already have repeatedly over and over and over and over and over again said that it's not a black vs white problem, but a white police vs black citizen and less frequently, white police vs. white citizen problem. i already said it happens to white americans too, just not even half as often as it happens to black americans. and you guys repeatedly calling me racist even though i'm white is fucking retarded. my dad is white, my friends are white, my girlfriend is a white american. get off it. it's about police brutality, and more specifically, an epidemic of white on black police brutality. okay? not that i haven't already said this like 20 times, you just can't read. you wanna make a thread about white on white police brutality, go ahead, but i can't remember the last time a black person was paid 500 thousand dollars for killing a white person, and that's the issue. yes white people kill white people, and black people kill black people, and they kill each other, and there should be consequences in every case. but when white people, and more specifically cops kill black people, there is little or no consequence, and in some cases, they are rewarded. when black people kill white people, they are convicted, usually triple the sentence. give me one fucking example of a black man being rewarded for killing a white man,n an if you could do that, then 2 examples would be nice, and then you can begin to try to tell me there isn't a race issue in america.

They start the aritlce that way because it's what they need to do to keep eyeballs on the screen.

People don't buy newspaper subscriptions anymore. News outlets are having to cater to the online crowd which can scan every outlet's articles and only read the most interesting ones. If you want people to click on your articles, you can't have some boring article about a cop killing a criminal; you need something juicy or something that plays into prejudices.

It's sad, but the fact of the matter is that journalistic integrity is dead because it's not what the masses want.

If you think skin color has any bearing on who you are as a person, you are racist. If you think that you have zero prejudices or your fellow people of white skin are perfect, you are racist. If you take stats and say, "look there's scientific evidence that black people commit more crime!", then you might as well start wearing a white hood because you couldn't be more obvious.

I have a story that relates. When I was a really little kid, like just a couple years over definitely not even in kindergarten yet. Anyways, my mom took me to the zoo and bought me an ice cream sandwich. As I was eating this ice cream sandwich, a little african american boy apparently came up to me, swiped the sandwich and ate it right in front of my face. My mom says I was just in utter shock.

So that experience is why now wildly racist: I'm an avid supporter of the white devil that keeps the black man down and I actively volunteer to distribute crack to the black community.

Also, K-rob isn't posting lately. He's either too superkrobbed to post, or my guess is he got stomped down by RCMP horses for disturbing the peace (I imagine it was a horse, they don't have guns in canada-do they?)

How about instead of calling for the silencing of anyone who holds a dissenting opinion, you instead challenge the citation he made? Shows a weak debater to just call for someone's banning IMO.

I'll call you out on the source; I still would be shocked if this were anything other than trolling, though.
You're claiming that the SAT is an absolute test of intelligence, when no such thing really exists. Additionally, the source isn't at all saying that 'black people are dumber than white people; it simply points out that there is a score gap independent of income, but goes on to point out that net worth and other factors, such as cultural capital, are possible (and in my opinion, probable) reasons for this gap.

SAT is the most widespread and well-known measure of intelligence there is. As long as there is no perfect measure of intelligence, SAT scores will have to do. Other measures of intelligence, IQ and ACT, also show the same racial disparities as the SAT. For example, the mean difference between whites and blacks on IQ exams is 15 points.

Also, it should be noted that I provided the link with SAT scores normalizing for family income solely because I knew it's the first thing you guys would talk about if I just provided the raw averages. I actually do not care what causes blacks to score lower than whites. All I care is that, on average, they do score quite a bit lower than whites. Deliberately ignoring this fact does not make you a saint of egalitarianism; it makes you ignorant.

In the US, if you take a random black person off the street and a random white person off the street, statistically speaking the white person will probably be smarter than the black person. Call it racism if you want, but it's fact.

If there were some way of imposing the flawed existing intelligence tests on newborns, you'd have some ground to stand on, but your argument completely ignores both epigenetics and the fact that new neurological connections are constantly being made as a result of life experience; both of these factors are influenced by race.

I apologize; you don't say it but rather imply it. You're still wrong, though. As I stated already, the tests don't test "inherent" qualities; everything that's tested is a result of environmental and genetic factors. As such, there's no proof whatsoever that the two races aren't inherently equal.
