Smartphone help

Hey,

I need some massive smartphone/plan help! So, right now, I am on a company business plan with an iPhone 5s I got from at&t as part of the plan. I need to get on my own plan and I don't want to pay out the nose to do so. I would also like to not have to change my phone number but that's not a big deal. I've been looking at Walmart's straight talk, which is like $45 a month for everything. Can I take the iPhone I already have and use it on straighttalk?

I don't need much data, like under 2gb, so what's my cheapest option for a smartphone plan, preferably without having to buy a new phone? I also could maybe do some kind of family plan with my brother if that would be cheaper/smarter. I really just don't know much bout this stuff so any advice would be super helpful.


TL;DR I have an at&t iphone 5s, I need to figure out what is the cheapest plan for me to get on.

Yeah man.....you can use your iPhone! Just go into walmart and go to their cell phone section, there should be a package deal that comes with a couple new cards for your phone. Select the package that has your phones specific new card and swap out the card. You then have an iphone available for use with straight talk.

Should run about $60 for the starter kit....which comes with a couple gigs of data too. (2 I think). Then for the months after that you buys data as normal. According to their site, 2 gigs will be $25 a month.

Jk. I read wrong.the 2 gigs is for tablets.

Unlimited service for straight talk is $45 per month.

You're going to have to pay cancellation fees if you end your contract early

Yeah looks like 86$ in cancelation fees, so I think in gonna move over to straight talk. Thanks for the advice!

I don't know who the straight talk carrier is, but I'm on Tmobile with no contract at $40 a month.

The reason I love the plan is because there is no contract. When I travel I can pop out the sim and put in any sim from any country. The $40 a month only gets you 1 GB of data, I thought this wasn't enough so I was paying for unlimited and then 2 GB. Then they switched their plans so that music streaming is not included in data. Once they did that I realized I'm only using like 800MB a month.

Just another option...

Straight talk is a great deal. Also with verizon you get cell service everywhere. If you live in the middle of nowhere or venture out that way often it's nice to have.
