.Hugo.So you dont look like a pussy. With the stairs snow covered its just another park rail
theabortionatorAlso the answer is that 1/4 senior citizens has been involved in a serious fall. 2/3 of those falls have involved stairs. The average US city is comprised of 20% seniors. If you leave the stairs unshoveled you're basically saying you hate 20% of the population and that you want to hurt 1/4 of them 2/3 of the time. Can you live with that? I didn't think so.

ESBI work in a terrain park that's got a stairset, and I get to shovel that bitch out every time it snows so that our paying clientele can have the feeling that they're riding urban when they're actually on a glacier at 9000 feet.
I can understand someone shoveling the steps at their urban spot. But me shoveling out a park stairset so resort skiers can feel like it's urban? That gets a bit annoying after the tenth time it snows.
hoodcrewconsider it similar to women waxing their pussy. even though it's unnecessary, people prefer things a certain way and theres all sorts of different justifications/ excuses they'll be willing to give
CrutchKillerI love the shot in 10 and 2 when the crew is literally scraping ice off stairs to get to concrete
BWalmerA few reasons:
1) It looks better
2) It's easier to get up cleared stairs than stairs with snow on them
3) It can be used as an excuse if your going to get busted early on. I've gotten away with "oh, I'm just shoveling the stairs so no one slips down them," they say "oh, thanks" and then never come back to check on what I'm doing after I've cleared the stairs.
