Editing Softwafre

So I am just starting to get into filming, I have a decent laptop and am looking for a good free easy to use editing software. Whats good? whats the best, while still being easy to use for a newbie like me.

If your on Mac the easiest would be iMovie. If your on PC I recommend making the jump to using Adobe Premiere. You can get Premiere on Mac as well, but iMovie would be the easiest to use.
