I remember when JOSS tried doing this a couple years back but that ended really poorly, hope this goes better and turns out cooler.

One question! It is written that you have to use the music listed on the dropbox thingy (because of legal reasons), but I wondered if I please can use some of my own made music? Is that ok, or will I get disqualified?

Magz,

I am sorry, but this year because of legal right we have to go with the selection that we have to offer. it is just too much work to garuntee you have the rigths to a song, even if you made it. And then even if you do make it yourself, there is always a chance someone says you copied their music or took something and sampled it.

Our goal next year will be to have a lot bigger options for music! But, this is the first year for a contest like this, so we just do not want to have any more complications with the event then we already have.

Stoked to see your entry and sorry again about the music this season. I know as a editor, it can suck sometimes to edit to music that is not of your liking. but i also know if you can edit to music not of your liking and make it dope, you only will become a better editor in the long run. best of luck!
