Remounting....

so worst case scenario ill have to get my fks remounted on my new skis. when i adjust the fks the little side arms scrape against my boot. there is some room left to go longer on the arms but the arms just scrape pretty good againts my boot. will they need a remount? i went from a 301mm bsl to a 308mm . also, from a ski point of view, is remounting a big deal? these are my new skis and have been mounted to the fks to the 301mm bsl. so will a remount hurt my skis? they are good quality skis also (kitten factory). any techs out there encounter the scraping on the fks arms? k+ for answers

Not sure I fully understand. Are the brake arms scraping against your boot somehow? Or the "arms" of the heel piece? and what part of your boot is being scraped? Im just having trouble picturing it..

the arms of the fks heel piece, the brakes are fine hahaha

lol reread the OP and it makes a lot of sense im not sure why I was confused. From what I know, remounting a ski isn't too big of a deal as long as you're not remounting like 1mm from your old holes. I know the "rule" is mounting a ski 3 times is the max but honestly I feel like thats not always true. I mean as long as you're doing a proper plugging job and mounting job, you could probably do 4.. Anyway, to answer the question, remounting a ski once is definitely not as big of a deal as some will make it out to be.
