Who started the love of pizza?

Watching old edits here an there and I have been noticing the pure amount of pizza in the skiing industry (mostly in line... But still!). It has got me wondering where did this all start?

Na it really didn't start until people realized tomatoes weren't poisonous and started smearing em on their bread in late 1700s

that's the birth of modern pizza, flatbread dishes known as pizza were around for hundreds of years before that

Yes, a grilled cheese is essentially a simple panini without meat. A panini is essentially a grilled cheese with meat. Very good detective work there. But do you realize that they are completely different types of sandwiches? You can't just lump em together. They have different names, they are different things, and they were invented at different times.
