FKS/Pivots in Powder + binding comparison to FFG14

I've heard a few people saying the FKS/Pivot bindings can be quite difficult to clip into in powder? Was just after some more opinions. I have FKS140s on my park skis, but haven't really been in pow in them.
I'm looking for some bindings for some Surface New Life's - debating between buying Pivot 14s, or using Atomic FFG14s (2011 Here ) from my old pair of skis.

So just trying to find out if it really is that much harder with the pivots. Also whether there is a huge difference between the quality of these bindings and if it's worth buying pivots over just using the FFG's.

Yeah, it isn't. Urban myth. If anything they can be easier because even if you can't get your weight over the ski to click in, you can grab the dildo and pull it up to get your boot in there.

Sometimes they get all backwards and half-flipped when you have a huge bail but that can happen anywhere, not just pow. Even then if you can operate a door handle without hurting yourself you can probably figure this out.

I have found it to be massively annoying. My fks are kind of broken and possibly maladjusted so that makes it worse but I would definitely go ffg 14

Basically this... i have never had any trouble with my fks while riding powder and believe me i have had a lot of bails haha

yea same here, if you do have problems in pow, just spin the turntable around once and shake the the excess snow out. thats what i do and it works just fine

Looking at going for the pivots - confused on brake size for the XXL, which is 100-117mm. The skis are 122mm waist, so should I get the 130mm, or would the XXL at 100-117mm be fine, and would they need bending?

The Pivot comes in 3 break widths: 95, 115, and 130mm. For you 122mm skis (Rocker2s?) I'd throw the 130s on, especially because you can get that shit for cheap bro:

Either work, I'd probably go xxl. Should fit without bending or very little

Thanks. Just to confirm, are the XXL the 130s or 115s? I thought they were 130s, but seen them on a website being described with 115 brakes
