Exactly the title, Be honest how many of you guys wear snowboard pants. I wear Volcom because theyre really cheap and very baggy. No one knows theyre actually volcom ;D
I've worn Vans and Burton before. I didn't really pay much attention to the fact they only sponsor snowboarders to wear their outerwear, the fact of the matter is they're functional garments.
Yeah I wear some Gortex Nomis tec pants that look like jeans, that are seriously miles ahead of anything I’ve seen a ski company put out for that price ($80), I pair them with the grey Nomis CHAMBRO jacket ($90) that once again has more tec and features then any ski company jacket I’ve ever seen for that price . I’d expect them to be around $250 pants and say about $500 for the jacket for similar features if they were made by a ski company.
Volcom has some pretty good quality stuff that i wouldn't hesitate to ever buy. had some issues with Burton products but still use Burton ak 3L pants and they are super dry.
I have a pair of plain black burton pants that are baggy but still a skinny cut so its like the perfect fit and they literally have burton no where on them and the are warm dry and super comfy so i wouldnt trade em haha
Personally, I feel that snowboard pants are fine and no one really cares but wearing a jacket with a snowboard company logo really standing out is a bit weird. The other day I saw a skier wearing that 32 jacket and while it looked sick, I couldnt help but get a feeling that he wasnt very good or that he had a weird style cause it looked unusual. Honestly, It doesnt matter but it looks kinda bad if its a jacket.
(this is my first attempt at embedding media, sorry if it didnt work)
Ski pants take more abuse than snowboard pants so that would be the only reason not to. I remember my bro had these Oakley pants in white back in the day and they got shredded so fast. I'm sure today snowboard pants are probably made to be just as durable.
two pares, holden which now they sponser a skier, might as well be a skier brand. And pair of Burton Skinnies I got brand new off a kid on ns, best pants iv ever owned.
what the fuck is the difference between ski and snowboard pants?
I'm straight fucking confused, or are all so fucking vain and stupid as to think there is actually a fucking difference?
Ski or snowboard or go fucking sledding and build a snowman in whatever the fuck you want, so long as it is warm, waterproof, and not priced beyond stupidity.
Burton AK makes some damn good gear while we are at it, so does Flylow, Arc'teryx and Armada. I bet the Pataguchi and Eddie Bouer shit doesn't suck to much either. Airblaster and Saga are shit.
