Help me choose a ski

I tried reading review but just can't seem to find the right stuff i need. I'm stuck between either the Candid 1.0 for only 340 on evo or the bdog ski for 550. I am not personally buying these skis my parents are getting them for me for christmas. I feel like I should go with the candide and take it easy on my parents money wise but I know they just want me to be happy with what I get. So Newschoolers, help me decide.
