I recently got my $150 Ray-Ban wayfarer sunglasses stolen from me. I am still pretty salty, however, on the bright side I guess now I get to buy a new pair. So what I was wondering is what is the thing that you have gotten the most upset about being stolen from you? Or, share some crazy stories of catching someone in the act, or tell a story about something that you have stolen, just share some cool/funny/entertaining stories that involve stolen things.

Had my Downhill bike stolen from my house, a glorious iron horse factory frame, boxxer teams, shimano saint groupset, mavic 721s on hope pro 2s. Was a thing of beauty. Only got £500 back from home insurance, had me in tears.

Also an ipod nano from my place of work, my wallet - got mugged walking home after a night out.

Had my 2013 giant glory downhill bike stolen over the 4th of july in denver this summer. We were in town watching the outlaws/fireworks game and going to winter park to ride the next morning. When we woke up the half inch cable was clipped and mine and my brother's bikes were gone. Got decent homeowners insurance compensation but fuck whoever did that

this black kid stole some cigars from me the other day while i was at work, but he ended up getting shot and killed later that day. so i guess it worked out.

I've had some larger things stolen from me but the thing that upset me the most was getting my watch stolen in 2nd grade. It was a used $20 watch but i was so upset by the idea that somebody had taken it, I just didn't understand why

Had my mtn bike stolen this fall.

Found it on craigslist, met up with they guy with an undercover cop with me, got bike back in 36 hours and watched an epic cops scene go down.

I think the only thing I've ever had stolen was my back wheel on my bike. It was on a bike rack on the back of my car, the frame was locked to the rack but I guess I didn't think of locking the wheels too. It wasn't just a wheel you could pop off either, they must've had a wrench with them. Middle of the day, on a busy street. I was sooo furious and so sad.

Had my wallet stolen from work this summer. (I'm a lifeguard) A few days later, my coworkers wallet was also stolen. The worst part is, it was my boss that took it. Couldn't do shit cause we didn't have any tangible proof. I kept all my valuables locked in my car after that.

seriously why are ski poles the worst? on my third pair now and it's worse than getting skis, goggles, shades, clothes, shoes, headphones, money. All of which have happened to me. I don't get it. Sunglasses are worthless btw.

Went to a party at Umass Lowell with my roommate and all his buddies who I had never met before. The party was cramped as fuck, I didn't know a single person in the place, and I just wanted to laugh at something. I ended up leaning against the kitchen counters stealthfully unscrewing every single doorknob and slipping it into my jeans' back pockets. All of them.


Later that night I blackout-ed-ly slapped a girls ass with a whole slice of pizza.

Hah, that's kind of funny because I got the same thing stolen from me. I got my prescription Ray-ban wayfarer sunglasses stolen out of my bag in mount hood. I hope who ever stole them was highly disappointed when they realized they were prescription sunglasses.

Vibes. This was most likely a bike theft ring that did this. There have always been groups that do this, and they are really good at what they do. They would steal bikes off of DU campus in the middle of the day. People thought they were safe with kryptonite locks, but they would spray them with liquid nitrogen, and then after a few seconds they would hit the lock with a hammer and it would shatter.

Personally, I've had tons of shit stolen. Notable things were:

2 Brand new pairs of skis at different times. One out of the locker room by a fellow instructor.

2 coats. One was a new ski parka that someone stole from DU ice arena while I was skating at open skate.

Someone stole my Sorrels at Ravinos (big BC jump party)

Someone tried to steal the wheels off of my GTI while we were at a LODO bar.

Someone used to keep stealing our yard signs during election years. I came up with a system to put Skunk Urine hunting scent inside the sign. While the sign was upright, everything was normal, but when they were laid down flat (like in the back of someones car) the skunk piss would leak out into their carpet. It was oil based, so even if the person figured out where the stuff had spilled, there was no way to clean it. This shit is just nasty, and their car would smell like it forever. Instead of worrying that someone was going to steal my signs, I got up every morning hoping that Christmas came early. Any time I see someone driving around in January with their windows wide open, I wonder whether they may have been an unlucky recipient.

Cops stole my weed and beer then had the audacity to write me a summons.

Also had my skis stolen after being away for 10 minutes. Fucking sucked.

But back to the cop thing. I'm really thinking about protesting. A person shouldn't have to worry every time they smoke weed and drink. It's like come on. I bet they wouldn't care if I stole some cigars and roughed up the employee. Stupid cops.

I feel for you man. My camera bag with all my gear including lenses, a tripod, and others got stolen when my car was broken into a couple weeks ago. Shit sucks, but I think homeowners insurance is covering mine. You should look into that!

I had my skis stolen at the end of the day when I was 13. Was really bummed.

And freshman year of college, hoodlums had a habit of sneaking into the Goodyear dorm on south campus. They managed to get into my room and snagged my wallet. The weird thing was my license got mailed back to me from Niagara Falls.

Some guy stole my backpack with my laptop and textbooks out of a restaurant.

Went to restaurant owner, watched security tapes, got him on video stealing it.
Activated find my iPhone, chased the guy through a building in Toronto, but he got away.
Dumbass turns the laptop on again at home, and I google earthed his neighbourhood. Went and started knocking on doors until someone opened the door looking like the guy I saw on the video footage. Found him, told him to give my shit back and I'd just leave, he gave it all back instantly. He also wiped my laptop, had to recover everything and it took forever. Fuck that guy

tl;dr dumbass steals laptop on camera, gets tracked down, gives up instantly

My dad bought me a nice bottle of wine the other day and I poured myself a glass, set the bottle down for a second, and my brother puts his mouth all over the top and starts chugging on it. He knows I fucking hate germs and if anyone puts their mouth on what I'm drinking, I'm automatically done with it. I'm definitely considering that stolen. Fuck you Andy.
