Craig114That would probably be fine, but it depends on what sort of skiing you do. Telling us park and sometimes backcountry doesn't really tell us much. They are very different things and therefor you will want a different type of ski for each. I'm guessing by BC you mean more all mountain, because if skiing backcountry on park skis will suck and skiing park on backcountry skis will probably not be much fun either. But check out the line blends, or the shredditor 102s. Something with a little wider waist than a park ski would probably be good, and a little early rise makes both park and powder skiing more fun.
Also ski companies measure length in different ways, so a K2 185 could be different from a Surface 185, that being said 5cms doesn't make much of a difference for the average rider. And a symmetrical park ski always feels real short, so I keep that in mind, a ski with a lot of early rise also feels shorter to me too. I am 6ft and ski 179 ish park skis and in the past when I actually owned pow/all mountain skis I went a little longer, more around 189ish.
Hope this helps.
