Canon 70D vs 60D

After looking into the differences, is it wroth it to get the 70d over a 60d? Essentially what I mean is, is there anything that the 70d can do that the 60d cant? And vice-versa, as in is there anything the 60d can do that the 70d cant?

I think the 70d is better because of its great auto-focus. It also has a touchscreen which makes everything easier in my opinion.

If cost is an issue, go 60D with lenses rather than 70D with less money for lenses. 60D with ML is incredible. Far surpasses 70D.

(In my opinion, of course)

I can tell you i have used both simultaneously, and they both have their strong points.

I just dont think the 70D is worth the high price compared to a 60D which is like 400$ on BH rn

I have a 70D and love it.
Yep as noted before the AF is better, especially in video. 70D had wifi connectivity if thats an issue. Also the touchscreen is super handy, you don't realise how handy till you actually use it.
Biggest selling point for me was just future proofing myself, like in 3 years the technology in the 60D is gonna be seriously dated.

Your "futureproofing" kinda seems like it fell short.

Sure the af is awesome, but 3 years from now, 4k will be far more common, and your 1080@30 regardless of if it is a 60D or 70D, will be out of touch.

Save money, buy better glass, upgrade body when outdated.

Ok so if your talking about specs, then those specs are already dated, because there is a technology on the market that professionals are choosing over these cameras.

You shouldn't let specs play as big of a role when choosing a camera. Specs will always get dated but the pictures these cameras produce will not. When an audience is sitting down to view a film or a youtube video they have no idea what the specs are. They either watch because it looks good or they don't. Choose a camera that will be able to capture what you want to film. I would go with the 60D and nice lenses, unless you can swing the 70D and nice lenses haha
