so about this time a few threads always get made asking what to get your girl. so why not keep them all in one spot, lets throw out the best gift ideas for the ladies.

If you're going with jewelry, stick with simple. Etsy has some really cute cheap stuff that could be personalized. A favorite book, movie,animal? You probably can find a necklace that relates.
Tea is also wonderful (Rooibos is super good). Or hand knit mittens can be super cute.
Little, simple, yet personal things go so far. Flowers are also always in season. Seriously though - girls really appreciate the little, simple yet thoughtful things.
bought my girl a necklace with some local blown glass like this for $30 at my local hippie store. its something she can wear everyday and something i can actually enjoy too
I went big and got her a new ski jacket this year, but I know she'll use it a ton.
I've found in the past though that alex and ani charm bracelets are a big hit and only cost like $30. I got her one of the us ski team ones with a snowflake for her birthday and she went crazy over it.
Also I made her a couple wrap bracelets a few years back. Materials were cheap and I actually kinda had fun making them. If you do it well they come out really nicely. This is the tutorial I used but I only did a single wrap and used a nice bead for fastening instead of a nut. I just got my chick a scarf and a bracelet for her birthday which is this monday, very simple, but they are always safe. I am in the same dilemma though because i am trying to think of something more thoughtful, "cute", and personal for her. She will love that sort if thing, but i cannot figure out what to do.
honestly you know her better than us, so just get what you think is her style...scented candles? Friends box set on DVD? Picture frame that says "family" on it...maybe a pair of sweats that say "sexy" on the butt, or a north face fleece?

If she's a skier a sick new pair of gloves is always a good gift, or even ski socks and base layers. You can never have enough.
she doesnt ski, sad face. but she's into art and the outdoors so I'm either planning to do something or getting getting her something idk but this is just a idea for all gifts for all girls not just mine
but actually, another good cheap and easy thing to do (hat tip to NSer Blurst for this one), is the Wal-Mart photo mug. get a photo of you two printed on a mug, its like 5 bucks and you can pick a stupid picture that she likes and make it funny. something small but shows you put some thought into it.
My girl and I just decided to go to the mall together and buy each other something. I did get her some side stuff though like a beanie, owl magnet, and an MSU sweater.
