So up here in mass i just got 2 ft of snow today and i was hitting my backyard setup and i went to 450 out and it almost felt like i popped my knee cap out of place like i spun to fast or something but i fell to the ground and it hurt to move it for like 10 mins then i could kinda walk fine but now its just sore.
I dont think i tore my acl cause i can walk pretty good now just kinda sore and its happend before and after a day it ushally goes away i just dont know what it is
I tried to gainer off my roof to a big pile of snow and this happened to me. Felt like it popped and I felt it move back right away. It was sore for about 30 minutes or so then fine.
you probably just have loose joints and it moved around a bit, or it could be ocd knee injury (not the mental type) where a piece of bone and cartilage detaches from the knee. it doesn't really hurt and you can still use it for a bit, but can require surgery.
Sounds like your patella could have partially dislocated and then popped back into place. This can happen, but it's usually when something hits your knee from the side. You can do this without tearing ligaments. Ice it, but if it still doesn't feel right when the swelling goes down, get it checked.
