This just happened this afternoon in Minneapolis:

Good to know that Subarus are made to withstand angry mobs.

JAHpowIt wouldn't let me watch the video but if it's the one taken with a cellphone then it's not showing the entire context.
The car had slowly come up to the crowd, which was in an intersection, and tried to pass through but as it did people bashed in the windshield so the driver panicked and gunned the car. I can't imagine they were intentionally trying to run anyone over, just trying to get out of there.
caucasian_chadHow fucking dumb are these people? A herd of cows is smart enough to part for a slow moving vehicle for fuck's sake.
omnidataSomeone has been playing too much of this.
caucasian_chadhttps://www.newschoolers.com/videos/watch/739863/Ferguson-Demonstation-in-Minneapolis-Turns-ViolentYup, here's the one you're talking about. You can clearly see that the driver was trying to inch through and then the protesters tried to attack and push back on his car. How fucking dumb are these people? A herd of cows is smart enough to part for a slow moving vehicle for fuck's sake.
UtardDoesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of protesting in an intersection though? To block traffic?
DubV134love captain obvious at 0:57
.Hugo.Fucking hippie idiots. I wish my friend with a plow didnt move
DubV134"justice for Brown, Martin but hey fuck this guy trying to get home from work"
J.D.Why are people this stupid?
This is not a viable method of protest.
The point of a protest is to draw attention to the things you care about, sure. Protesting in an intersection accomplishes that. But it sort of defeats the purpose if you're pissing everyone off.
Let's say I didn't really care about the whole Ferguson thing until I pulled up to this intersection in my Suby. After that? I hate every one of you little pricks, and by association, whatever it is that you claim to stand for.
This does not further your cause.
LucasWhat a bunch of idiots. Sorry I don't feel bad for any of the people that got it, if you attack a car that is trying to pass through you're basically asking to get fucking plowed.
.Rybak.UNPOPULAR OPINION ALERT
I'm glad the guy did that. The people were pounding on the car and got scared. They were being assholes and got what came to them.

SuusatajaNah, I think it's a pretty popular opinion.
-emile-yeh no that's not an unpopular opinion
UtardSo what is your point, a group of people protesting injustice in the middle of the street deserve to be run over? Wow man, that's pretty fucked up. What are you, a fascist? I don't know where you live but here in Utah willfully driving your car into a human being is considered assault with a deadly weapon. Those people were just acting in self defense. IMHO if you try to ram your car through a large group of people you're basically asking to get dragged out and curbstomped.
El_Barto.Youre a dumb fuck and i hate you
john18061806I live in Minneapolis. A lot of my friends were out there and one of my friends is good friends with the girl who got run over #connections. Anyways, if you are blocking traffic and intimidating the shit out of people, odds are very high that someone's instincts will kick in and they'll punch it. It happened twice last night, the other incident was when a bunch of people surrounded a van and some even went in front of the fucking thing to try and push it back while it was moving.
I put a little blame on the drivers for not being patient or taking a different route, but this is the fault of the hostile protestors. The Minneapolis Police Department is one of the least racist in the country. I have experienced minimal racial profiling against a black friend of mine once, but it was just that he was getting asked the questions instead of me. It wasn't anything close to as bad as him getting beaten to the pavement or killed. Most videos of Minneapolis police brutality are pretty biased against the cops involved, not to say that it doesn't happen- because it definitely has happened, but it happens less often than what is shown. Most videos are of people being idiots and interfering with arrests and being ignorant to the law.
The idea to protest by blocking traffic was fucking stupid, a lot of these protesters were fucking stupid (especially anyone who charged cars). Even worse, towards 10:00pm last night, people were marching on I-94. They were fighting for a noble cause, but chose the most idiotic way to approach it, the initial plan was to lay down on a highway to block traffic- real fucking smart.
tldr; I can't believe my city is this stupid. Protest in a way that won't get you killed. Know the laws and full ethics before you claim "police brutality". Drivers suck.
UtardMaybe blocking traffic isn't such a bad idea after all. Maybe some people will think, wow these people are willing to risk getting run over by maniacs for their cause, maybe there's something to that.
UtardThink about it this way: Do you think most of us on this site would have heard about the protests in Minneapolis if it weren't for these idiots trying to ram their thousand pound machines through crowds of humans? Seems like the protesters got exactly what they wanted, exposure. Maybe blocking traffic isn't such a bad idea after all. Maybe some people will think, wow these people are willing to risk getting run over by maniacs for their cause, maybe there's something to that.

SKI.INGAgreed. And my question to you is, is there any way that car would be in legal trouble? I mean to me seems like the roadway is for cars and the protestors were being unlawful so can anything bad happen to that driver for doing that?
MiomoI dunno, but if they indict him, we should all protest in the middle of a busy street.

El_Barto.Maniacs stand in the road to block traffic and pound on the cars on the road. Normal people drive their cars on the road and use their cars to get away from maniacs who are pounding on their cars.
You are very dumb. Im guessing a 19 yr old psychology major with a minor in womens studies.
caucasian_chadI wouldn't call people attempting to use public roadways as intended maniacs.
-emile-you're a retard Utard

UtardNormal people also don't attempt to drive their car through a crowd of people. That's why the vast majority of drivers cease travelling down the road when they see people in it.
Thanks for reminding me that the intended use of a roadway is to smash other people with thousands of tons of steel. I forgot about that part of drivers ed.
Wow, I'm dumb, why didn't I think about the similarity between those two words when I crafted my NS account.
Who gets in trouble if you run me over while I'm jaywalking?
JahFeelsSomeone in san diego got ran over because they were blocking the I5, the busiest freeway in California.
-emile-how fucking stupid do you have to be ?
that's like the girl who stops in the left lane on the highway because there were ducks crossing,
who doest that ?
