Never really worn boots before for casual wear... can anyone point me in the right direction?

Looking for something waterproof and warm but with a sleek style, preferably brown

I've worn a pair of Timberland Earthkeepers for 2 or 3 winters now and they're pretty ideal for me.


All leather, lugged sole, waterproof, more stylish than the classic timberland boot.

A kid in one of my classes was wearing a pair of super amazeballs boots. So I asked him what they were... apparently they're Danner boots. Definitely a conversation starter ;)

Dude, Danner boots. I'm telling you. I just got myself a pair after seeing my buddy with a pair of them while having nothing but good things to say, and these things are rad. It's the same company that makes boots for armed forces and they're super comfortable, warm, waterproof, they look cool, and are just all around dependable.

These are the ones I got...

They're a little more on the work/outdoors/intense side of the boot spectrum, but you can still make them look casual with the right outfits. Danner also makes a whole line of casual boots, so I'd recommend checking those out...

Or you could just get the Danner x Wings + Horns boots, which are already designed for casual wear and still made by Danner.

I can vouch for these, although something with a lug/half lug sole might be a little more practical in the winter. Leather soles and snow/ice isn't exactly a great combo. That said, super comfortable and they look great.

Besides Paraboot's Avoriaz being much more OG with that design, Danner's lasts have the tendency to make the shoes look like orthopaedic footwear.

But will your eurotrash dandy boots uphold in desert storm? I kid. Just looked up Paraboot. Yeah, those are some nice leather boots. Prices are steep though.
