Hey guys,
I'll probably go to Park City at the end of Feb, but this time I won't be able to bring my skis and boots. Hereby the thing is to get a rental park skis and boots, but it seems to be surprisingly difficult to get a pair of solid center mounted park skis. It's pretty much same thing with all rentals places in every resort, they offer park skis, but they all go with plastic bindings with 10 max din setting and I also believe they say that you aren't allowed to hit rails with them.
So any thoughts, can you just rent a pair of park skis with their plastic bindings for real park (and rail) shredding, hope the best and bring them back like nothing? Do they check the edges afterwards? How the things go if you crack a binding of a rental ski in park skiing? Park skis are made for park shredding for sure, but I guess they might say that park skiing is not allowed with their rental gear as the rental bindings are usually plastic ones.
Or does anyone know if there's any place to rent a real set of park skis and boots is Park City area? Or do I really need to get a pair of big mountain skis and hit the park with them and skip the rail sections?
Thanks!
