Beginners wearing Saga

Do you think people who are new to park should be wearing Saga?

I think anyone can wear saga but only the experienced people look cool.

bemeryI definitely don't give a shit what people wear, but this is actually sort of an interesting topic. Not just for Saga in particular, but the ratio of how nice someone's gear is to how skilled they are is a pretty good indicator of their discretionary income.

Since skill comes with a long time spent dedicated to the sport, someone with high end gear who isn't good probably dove head first into a huge investment without really knowing how their fondness of the sport would develop as time passed. In the case of kids who can't hit a rail wearing Saga.. mommy and daddy probably have a lot of money.

This is definitely not always the case.


so what their parents buy them stuff? That's how I got my love for shredding because my parents could pay. Your parents have probably paid for a bunch of your shit and you're just jealous because a 12 year old you don't like has your jacket.

In my experience you pay a premium for skiing labels and then another premium for a trendy skiing label (with all their marketing and hype.)

If I wanted the most bang for my buck (which I do,) I would go to a hiking store and buy what's on sale. Hiking gear is generally always well-made, looks modest, by people who know what they are doing, for people who don't have bucketloads to spend.

In the end, the materials (eg Gore-tex) is the same, it's just how it's put together. I would never want to be recognized and identified primarily by the label I wear (if I wanted any kind of recognition to begin with.)

Well .. I read the thread and decided to share my opinion.

I guess the guy tried to talk about identity. Not about "If you loosy skier dont wear Saga" .

Nowadays its so easy to look cool like professional skiers or snowboarders ) and you dont really need to be a good skier , dont even need to ski. Just to go and show up. Fake.

Just put on your cool outerwear and let everybody think you are Pro).

Thats what OP tried to say.

...Saga created very cool look , top notch , and Saga riders promoted it well. So both of this things connected to some identity. Identity of "cool professional looking outerwear".

You see guy wearing Saga - you think "hmm must be a pro or some ruff skier..respect".

And when everybody starting to wear that kind of clothes - its very good for a company's money income . But somehow its spoiled the "identity".

We were all beginners before and all sucked in the park before. We also know how important it is to look good while we ski. Since saga obviously looks dope, when a beginner wears it, it's like a confidance boost and then they progress faster and become sick park skiers. I think every beginner should wear saga

Well I think it's fantastic to wear that gear unless you are a poser and yes I believe you most ski good to look good in that gear or else you look like every other Saga poser and don't say your sponsor by them unless you really are you poser beginning skiing little bitches

Doesn't take much to "back up" wearing saga. If you can snowplow, you can wear saga.

This thread is absurd. We make clothes for people who like to slide down hills on snow. For anyone to think you have to be of a certain skill level to wear it is ridiculous.

This has to be the dumbest shit. A beginner can wear whatever the fuck he wants, some beginners look better in some stuff than advanced skiers and vice versa. Honestly, Id want beginners to be wearing stuff from smaller companies to support the industry, and Saga has been lacking in color ways and designs. RIP all the sick, exclusive shit.

Also, if you read this Saga, please make like a throwback line of outerwear/clothing. Or hell, just make all your shit like you used to.
