I was watching CNN today about the Tsunami that hit, and the lady that was reading said 'How would you like to be on vacation there'. Anyone see a problem with that? Not to worry about the 20 some thousand people that lived there and died, nono. Some American's vacation might be ruined!! OH NO! Same thing kinda happened with 9/11. Yes its a bad thing, yes it is a tradgedy, buy America pities itself too much. There have been a lot worse things happening in the world, more people dying, but its like the American public doesnt care unless its happening to them.

twintip, to give you an idea how the media's oriented here in Belgium. some crappy tabloid paper (naturally the most popular) report '30 Belgians missing', while quality newspapers give a more broader and down-to-earth vision on things happening there.
Just to give you an idea that everything isn' t that fantastic here either man.
Oh yeah, and to the smartass who thinks the rest of the world hates Bush AND America. Most of us don't bash America, we just bash Bush, and we have a goddamn right to do so, because he's not not just fucking up things for your country, but also for the rest of the world. Quite a difference I would think.

yeah so you said america is selfish, heres a few numbers for you to think about. so far the Us has spent its entire disater relief budget (35 million) on this and is estimated the total relief from the US to top 1 billion dollars by the time this is done. the US has also put together a system to organize reielf and helop gain support from other nations. Along with thousands of marines and the USS abraham to help coordinate relief and using the military to fly in supplies and food. so if you have beef with a dumb bitch on CNN go after her but think twice before you come down on the US. yes bush sucks but were still trying to do our best and help as much as we can.
