First Ski Day Expieriences of 2014-2015!

So today was my first day back skiing. I drove with friends a couple hours from our house to go skiing. We got to the mountain, got our shit on (I missed it so much) and we got on the lift. The park was pretty rad for an early season park. Had a down flat, flat down, tube, box and a smallish kicker with a 10 foot gap. I started my first hit of the season on the flat down and was quite happy with myself when I found that I could still do the whole thing. I ended up trying 27s off the box but a divet in the snow on the landing prevented me from landing one. The day went on and I landed a few 3s and tried some 5s. Finally last run came and I decided I'd better go big and try something I'd never tried before. Misty 5. I figured that I can do them on the tramp and I can lincoln on skis so why not. The fatal error I made was forgetting to rewax my skis before this season so I couldn't get enough speed off the kicker. I ended up commiting in the end and I made it all the way around but unfortunately landed straight to my right shoulder blade. My shoulder nailed the knuckle so I was wayyy too back seat and had nowhere near enough speed. Everybody at the park today was so good and I saw some really cool stuff out there today. It was one hell of a first day. So what about you guys? How's your first day's of this season been? What have you tried this season?

Well this is my first year really commiting to the park scene, so I just tried to work on the basics from last year. Ive been out 6 times this year so far but my first trip was to Wild Mountain and I would say it was a pretty awsome time concidering there was a foot of fresh untracked powder waiting for me.

I rode at Holiday Valley opening day yesterday and it was great. There were a couple closed runs that had up to 3ft of pow and it was awesome. Thats pretty rare for being on the east coast. I ended up getting my pass pulled mid way through the day so I hiked their park for the rest of the night. It was pretty rad. I talked to a few new people and I met another girl who rides park! She isn't from the area, but it was still really cool to hangout with her!

Opening day was yesterday, and it rained all day today and probably will all day tomorrow. Monday it's supposed to be 60 so I'm pretty glad I got out yesterday haha. It's probably gonna be the best pow day we have all year to be honest.

I went up today and it ended up being nice and icey, which on skis without edges was a little rough but i still had a blast. Not really any pow left but I got a few warnings for trying!

I have been hitting Wild hard since open, hasn't let me down yet and has always been a blast.

They just had a couple features setup on front stage when I was there. But I have to say I really impressed. It's to bad that it is such a long drive for me to get over there. Might have to make a trip later this year.

pcmr was rad, a bunch of sick rails, a 35 footer and a 45 footer, It was so perfect and then it started to snow really hard.. which is good but it ended my day..
