Six to 12 inches of snow is possible above 8000 feet Tuesday through
Wednesday morning. After a brief break... the next system will move in
Thursday morning with two to four feet of new snow possible in the
mountains through Friday. Strong winds will develop over the area
Thursday. This could produce areas of blowing and drifting snow as
well as local whiteout conditions... especially over the mountain
passes.

Periods of snow are expected through the New Years Day weekend.

Extended forecast for Whistler - Blackcomb.
Wednesday.. Periods of snow. Snowfall accumulation 3 to 7 cm.
Freezing level 1000 metres.
Thursday.. Cloudy. 60 percent chance of flurries. Snowfall accumulation trace to 3 cm. Freezing level 1000 metres.
Friday.. Flurries. Snowfall accumulation 3 to 7 cm. Freezing level 700 metres.

5 Day Trend..A low pressure system dropping south out of the Gulf of Alaska is expected to bring unsettled weather starting Wednesday. Freezing levels will begin to drop Wednesday as the system approaches and will remain near 1000 metres through Friday.
