finally watched it last night and it was definitely good.
as said, i think a big factor is if youve grown up with the PBP movies. a lot of nostalgia from all those old shots if you saw each one as they came out over the years. it also helps put into perspective how insane it is that tanner is still at the top of the game. same with JP...
loved the part where it was mostly just huge banger urban rails from over the years
as for new skiing footage, tanner and pep absolutely fucking destroy it. dane tudor too. im probably forgetting some other notable stuff but those stood out the most. karl's segment was awesome too, loved all the windells lines
did i mention pep and tanner are beasts?
gripes:
on some of the throwback shots, they cut the shot early, sometimes before the landing or too soon after the landing, which ive always thought was the gaperest shit ever
don't show the last shot of the movie in the teaser!!!! even if you only show the first half... it still undermines the feeling of the last shot
