Going to go to University of Michigan (ann harbor) and I was wondering what the best hills in Michigan are? From what I hear both Pine Knob and Mt Brighton are "dumps."
Canonsburg has some pretty dope stuff but I'm just peaking in from the outside. Never been just seen a lot of good stuff their the last few years in pictures and edits.
Cannonsburg has good features if you're willing to drive to the Grand Rapids area. Brighton is owned by Vail but last year's park was lacking for sure. And Northern Michigan has Boyne and Nubs Nob as well as a bevy of other resorts.
Brighton was sick as fuck last year. Anybody who said it wasn't doesn't know what they're talking about. Cannonsburg is also really sick. Sounds like you're a lot closer to Brighton so I would def. go there if I were you. Last year they had 20-30+ rails and boxes along with couple different jump lines. All their setups were super legit. Really nice lodge too.
I haven't been to pine knob, but a group of my friends have gone to Mt Brighton quite a bit the last two years (we all go to U of M too). The mountain itself is tiny but the park is pretty fun. Jumps aren't bad for the midwest and they have plenty of rails - plus most of it's on tow ropes so you can get a ton of laps in. They have a really cheap college pass and it's on the epic pass which is dope if you plan on going out west. I would definitely say Cannonsburg's park is still better, but it's a 2 hour drive vs. the 30 minute drive to Mt. Brighton.
