I am a hs senior and I got into Westminster the other day. It is in my top 2 choices for schools and I was wondering if any current students could answer a few specific questions I have about the school. I haven't been on ns in over a year but I thought it would be a good resource for getting connected to students. Thanks!

it was on my list of potential schools, but I went with UVU cuz they had a better program for my major. Its a great school from what I hear, I have a couple friends as well as a family member down there, and they've told me plenty of good shit. Smaller classes for a better learning experience, cool professors, awesome facilities, and plenty of cool kids to mingle with. Right down the street from U of U, so you can poach their parties all you want, and you're less than an hour or so from kick-ass skiing.

That's what's up. Nice to hear that other NSers got in as well! I'm pretty much deciding between Westminster, U of Puget Sound and Infield. But Westmini is my #1 at the moment. The only worry I have about Westmini is that it is just a bunch of ski stoners that aren't that stoked about learning. But from the students I have talked to it doesn't seem to be the case.

There is a bit of that I'm not gonna lie, but like all schools its got its fair share of kids trying to work towards a degree as well. This is also coming from a U student so my viewpoint is somewhat limited to poaching their sand volleyball courts throughout the year

What are you thinking about studying? Because for a lot of programs it would honestly just be better to go to the UofU.

Something within business. I am looking for small class sizes and what not so I am going to stick with Westminster.

I started my application process but haven't submitted it yet because I didn't think I was going to go there but now Im highly considering it. Ill finish my application and submit it soon I just wanted to know more about the school.

I'd like to be off campus but I'll apply to housing on campus just for the heck of it.

Would anyone be interested in off/on campus rooming?

Also it would be nice to hear some things from people who go there currently.

I have a couple friends who go there and they all stayed on campus and said it was good. I guess theres a traditional dorm and an apartment type setup. I went for the dorm style but I toured there last year and both seemed pretty kickass.

I wouldn't mind staying on campus, but honestly I'm not very good with sharing so that's kinda why I want my own room. And off campus can save $$$

I applied on sunday and its my #1 choice. lmk if you get it in cuz im definitely down to room with a fellow NSer and I can deal with minimal sharing and stuff

Girls are skanks though. Like really bad. Good & bad thing though.


I was only there for a day but i got the vibe that its judt a bunch of rich kids that wanna ski all the time. The people i was with were super cool tho..lots of trustfund babies tho

How is it? Haha. That's pretty vague but honestly I haven't talked to a lot of people who go there so how is it? In looking into majoring in biology. Gonna be skiing Alta, have a part time job, and lots of school. I'm probably going to live off campus if possible and might be looking for a roommate. So how should I go about these things?
