I cannot stand my ASUS any longer. Somebody point me the way to a computer that can handle lots and lots of footage being stored, a solid editing program and not be super slow. I would really like to stay under like 700. Lap top preferably +k for any help.
Go to a Tiger Direct or any other computer store, tell them to build you a computer optimal for editing and your budget is 700$, they'll go around the store and make the best machine for the money, that's what I did for my gaming rig. Oh but don't pay them to put it together, its like lego's. You'll end up with a very decent comp just probably lots of HD
Any good laptop that will run AE and PR well will run over 1k+. If you want something that will preform decently under 1k I would go for a desktop. Both my laptop and computer were over 1.5K and they still aren't the best for handling all of AE but handle PR really well. Dont even think of getting a Mac. A shitty Mac is still over 1k.
Yo, if you want me to put together a build log for you I can. I've been building computers for awhile and they are pretty simple to put together and there are plenty of videos that teach you how. Most bang for the buck is going to be building your own desktop. Plain and simple.
