Getting to the alps.

Hey NS,

I haven't been able to get away for the whole season this winter because of work and an apartment i need to keep. But i'm still really looking to spend a couple of months in the Alps this coming winter.

Do you have any advice on where the best-for-your-money resorts is in the Alps? I know i need to get a season pass somewhere, and i've already been looking around myself. I found the Tiroler Pass which gives the opportunity to shred all over Austria, but since i'm probably not gonna have a car with me, I do not think this is what i will be getting.

I'm looking for a place with a good/descent park, and at least a good bit of backcountry so i can explore some mountains with my new Dukes.

I have had some awesome advice in here before, so I hope one of you guys have a hidden/good resort where the price for accommodation an liftcards isn't sky-high.

Thanks for helping a fellow skier looking to shred some gnarly lines.

You should definitely concider going to Arlberg (St. Anton). Amazing terrain and good snowfall, also a decent park. There are 6 resorts with the same pass and free buses to eachother.

Switzerland = very expensive but no car needed.
France = cheaper, good parks (Les 2 Alps, etc)
Austria = tons and tons of ski areas, good public transportation, maybe base yourself out of Innsbruck and travel around.
Bulgaria and other Eastern Europe countries = super cheap, crappy parks great backcountry with no one skiing it.
Italy = forget the park skiing, cheap lift tickets, best food in Europe.
