Maybe not but that is quite a bit of snow this early. Saying places out there could get up to 6 feet by thursday. Buffalo get's some gnarly storms every few years but this is pretty heavy for november. I wonder if any western NY mountains are opening up early.

Now if the next storm would drop some mountains over there :)

Isn't buffalo on some huge plateau? You'd think there would be some 400' lines skiable with that much snow.....

it has been snowing hard nonstop since Monday night here, with no signs of letting up. in my yard, there is at least 4.5 feet of snow, with drifts as high as 7 feet. another foot of snow is expected overnight. its crazy!

we only have several inches of snow so far in minnesota...but the hills just opened so its all alright so far

update:
the weather channel is predicting over 90 inches of snow by friday afternoon. on average, we only have about 100 inches all year (with about 200 inches of snow annually in the hills). this shit is insane.

Got friends and fam up in Buff, luckily they aren't in a place where it dumped. It's getting serious, a few people have died because of it. Crazy stuff. Snow is awesome until it turns deadly.

read some reports this morning saying the snowfall totals in some areas might reach 8 or 9 feet by tomorrow when it's all said and done. Crazy!!!

Some spots got hit so hard, the pictures I'm seeing are almost unfathomable.



I can't imagine what it would be like to try and clean up an urban environment after an event like this. Better pull a Toronto and call in the army.

They'll have to get some bulldozers and trucks for this one but where the hell will they put the snow??

Well either way, I have a feeling they'll be screwed next week when the temps hop up to the 50s with rain. They're going to have some major flooding to deal with.

Use skyscrapers as drops ins. With the amount of snow you should be totally fine.

On Monday we're supposed to hit 60 degrees and get some bad flooding. The MAJOR thing though is that the 219 is still closed which is the highway to Holliday valley. Hopefully it opens up tomorrow.

Snowridge is opening. I made a post in regionals about heading there for first tracks saturday. POW!

From their FB:

Another 10" overnight brings our total snowfall to 35" since Tuesday. All natural lake effect snow - nothing manmade. Snow Ridge will be open Saturday 10am-4pm. Be sure to be here for some great early season skiing & riding.

i'll be there and I am stoked! Going to drive up tonight and get a motel in Rome to ensure fresh tracks. I hope there is a decent bar up there to get drunk with. By decent I just hope no a ghost town. Central NY I do not expect much
