Nike dry-fits?

so my boots are a little snug, and im getting custom footbeds. the thing is i dont want my boots too tight. would i be ok wearing nike dry fits when skiing? just wondering. and if the boots are a little too snug i can always buy a thin warm performance soc. and are the thin performance socks worth the extra dough$ ?

I sometimes wear dry fits and they work out fine for me

Cotton socks are no good for skiing imo, maybe for spring skiing when it is warm out but for colder conditions you should invest in some decent ski socks. If you are worried about fit, there are thinner ski socks out there, go for one or two pairs so you can alternate.

Nike Dri-fit for life. I would die if I didn't wear these. They are a make or break kind of thing. Always, always wear them. That said, if you wear cotton socks skiing you are a certified lunatic. That's fucked up.

Dri-fit isn't cotton fwiw.

That said, I've tried a bunch of shit and my absolute favorite is the ultra thin Darn Tough wool ski socks. Nothing keeps your feet warm and dry like paper thin merino wool.


Cotton kills though- go barefoot before you wear a cotton sock of any kind. They will get wet and they will get cold.

I'll second the Merino wool. If I know it's going to be a cold day, that's what I'll go for first. If it's going to be a warmer day, I'll go for a synthetic sock, typically Under Armour.
