on snow, fwd drifting is ridiculously easy. easier than rwd drifting. you just gotta enter a turn, use the handbrake to get the back end out and then use the front wheels to pull yourself out of the turn straight. all of this can be done at about 15 kmh, with little to no consequences in the snowbanks

Sick. With my tune & parts, my car is delivering a stupid amount of power to the wheels for a hot hatch. Pumped to get that sucker loose

I just got my license last month but we learned that drifting even in parking lots is really really dangerous so I'm never going to try this.

Last night I drifted a random corner in a residential area around 11:00pm and right as i rounded the corner there was a cop car with lights on. Got scared shitless but luckily he was inside a house and didn't see. I was in an area where they're really anal about drifting.

Actually he's right, its stupidly simple and you didn't even have enough skill to do it without slapping the backend into the snowbank even though you barely "drifted". What you did is equal in intelligence to peeling a banana.

Seriously. I used to do it in the work trucks at Big Sky early in the morning all the time. Then a ski patroller caught me and I got yelled at so I had to stop. Never took a video though.

I think my WRX will actually be kind of hard to drift now with studded tires. I haven't really tried yet, but it seems to have an insane amount of grip.

Christ, I should've been more specific. I meant snow drifting because then you won't die. Shit, my car would flip and I would probably be hospitalized if I tried real drifting. Not trying to kill fellow skiers here.

I live in a court, sort of a cul-de-sac but with a big grass thing in the middle with a fire hydrant and a street lamp. I always park on the opposite side of said thing, and the corner is snow/ice so each day when I come home from school I pull a nifty little drift around the corner and pull into my spot. Will film video if requested
