New Sony Sensor

I am excited to get my hands on this sensor when its available.

16bit output
21 stops of dynamic range
6k and 4k resolution at 240fps
1080p at 24,000 fps
active pixel color sampling
global shutter
native ISO at 5120
super good low light images

Gawd that camera is going to be so expensive holy fuck, that sensor is insane they could build a 30-40k camera with it.

Because those are always correct, and I haven't seen a press-conference just some shitty drawings in which a 2052x2166 grid of photosites is going to shoot 4K video at 6144x2160, which if my math is correct doesn't add up very well.

Clearly its a prototype, but so was the fs100/fs700 at one point, doesn't mean its not real you dingus. Of course the camera wont have the listed spec, this is essentially what the sensor is capable of, the price of the camera will reflect the capabilities.

But there's nothing tangible yet, there's just some rumours and random claims and even though I want them to be true, they are not verifiable in any way right now.

Potential capability =/= reality, especially when that reality is just some words on a sheet of A4.

That is extremely debatable. Yeah, they make amazing cameras, but ARRI is still king

Yes Arri is still the best. But Sony is right on their heels. The f65 falls right behind the alexa in my book.
