id go to a store and get fitted first and then go to the site to buy them...or buy them at the store, then they can usually form fit them for you

its different with every boot because the 28.x is the shell size. Different companies have different liner sizes. For example I usually where size 11-11.5 shoes, but I have Salomon Pro Models that are size 28.0 that they say are US size 10. I haven't warn shoes that small in 8 years.

when you get your boots, try to find someone who knows about adjusting the boot (ie grinding, expanding, custom cork footbeds..etc..) and doesn't just throw the same boot on everyone.

If you don't know what ski boot size you are, you need to go firgure that out at a shop first. Just doing the conversion from your street shoe size will probably give you a boot that's too big.
