Replying to How to not catch on wood rails

I saw some threads already posted about this, but most lack in detail about what to directly do to your skis. My main question is just how dull or what to do to your skis in order to never catch on a wooden rail or log. Line is the main group I see use these the most, and they just set it up in the woods, with no ice or anything done to the object (I would assume). I have an urban pair of skis, so whatever would need to be done, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks guys, +k to legitamate responses
