If you could hibernate, would you?

Got another hypothetical for you, ns.
Waiting for snow has gotten me thinking. Imagine you can sleep for a season like a bear, but reversed, so you would be awake in winter and sleep during the summer. You would not have to eat or anything during this period, and lets say you would be able to keep your job for the 6 months you are awake. Endless skiing sounds great right? Would it be worth loosing summer with friends? Would it be rad because you would value your time awake more? Opinions!

I'd condition my body to hibernate for a month at time. That way I could skip shit months like May and September, while still enjoying the rest of year.

i dunno where you guys live or what you do in the summer, but summer for me is just as fun, if not funner than winter.

don't get me wrong, i love skiing. but other than that, winter kinda sucks. shovelling snow, scraping ice from the car, -30 days with wind and its dark by 5 pm. i couldn't be bothered to do all that shit

summer has tons of great activities, drinking beers at the lake, fishing, not wearing a coat, biddies in bikinis, beers on the patio, frisbee, golf, not having to scrape ice from the car, i can go on and on about why summer is the best. why the fuck would you want to miss out on summer.

Summer is awesome in MN, the weather is never too hot and we only get like 200 tornadoes! I spend most my free time on the lake wakeboarding or fishing.

OP you know that bears dont actually sleep throughout the entire winter, right? they just slow their metabolism, heart rate and respiration so they dont have to eat, drink, pee or poop. Hell not even all bear do that. If they live in an area with resources during the winter months they are active all winter.

This. Winter would suck if I didn't have skiing to look foreword to. I can totally understand why people who don't ski hate it.

That being said winter rocks, simply because of skiing.

No because in the summer you can party on a monday. Or a tuesday. Or a wednesday. Or a thursday. Or a friday. Or a saturday. But not on sunday because you'd be shitting all over the Lord's face for that is his day you fucking heathen.

Serious though, tramping, boating, hiking, biking, barbecuing, climbing, shorts, sandals, chilling outside having a snooze, all these things are what make summer so fucking neato, and I don't want to sleep through it. Plus, if you die when you're 90, you've lived a long life but only have 45 years worth of life experience.

Now if you could sleep all summer and stay awake all winter, without ever being tired, I might have to say yes. Skiing all day everyday, being able to hang out at anytime, never be tired in the morning, you'd have so much more time.
