But if you want answers on your thread it would be useful to list your budget, and any things you want to do with this camera, or things you would like it to do well.
boboidahoI am starting to film and I am wondering what camera would be the best to start out with? Camera and attachments?
We have gone over this a million times. An Arri Alexa with Angenieux Optimo 24-290 is the minimum you want.

Oooooooooooooooh.... well that will just be a camcorder, or a GoPro, Eos M with ML if you are knowledgable enough but you aren't otherwise you wouldn't ask so forget that one.

You can install ML onto the eos M???? that's a game changer
Get a GoPro Hero 4 silver or black. It will be hard to find something under $500 that has better quality and is easy for a beginner to pick up and shoot with. If you go with a DSLR or mirrorless you'll be over $500 when you get a lens or two, extra batteries and media and it will take a little longer to learn how to get the camera settings right, if you don"t know much about, ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and frame rates.
If your just want to film yourself and friends skiing its not worth investing in a DSLR. If you want to learn more about photography and filmmaking it could be worth it to get something with more manual controls and interchangeable lenses.
