Well for starters, quit being a smartass. Anyway I have several friends that got kicked out of home. One of them was kicked out due to an obnoxious party life, and he dropped out of highschool. He couch surfed at his friends place, until he made enough money to afford a small apartment. He is now a freshman in college who sells drugs for a living. My other friend had a falling out with his parents, and now lives in employee housing at some resort in Cali. I think it's squaw but I haven't talked to him since.

But talk to your parents about it, apologize to your fucking teacher (even if she is a bitch). Get a job to buy all your shit back and show your parents you have some responsibility. A lot of my family members got kicked out of the house, and it tore my family apart for years. Last week was my first time seeing my cousins in years, and seeing my nieces and nephews for the first time.

I had a falling out with my parents at that age too. Do your best to patch stuff up with them. Couch surfing and trying to provide for yourself with a small amount of money while finishing high school is no way to live. It's easy to be like fuck em, but things like cosigning for credit score, college loans, and small things is a lot easier with parents. Just remember it's only three years to go. In the mean time tell your teacher that you will behave, but remind her of the shit storm she caused by bitching (make it sound professional). Chances are, she will feel like a dick, and it will be cool.

Parents are fucking mental sometimes. I got disowned/kicked out by my parents at one point in time because they couldn't handle the fact that I smoked marijuanas or something...and then of course what happens? You become a drug dealer to make ends meet, and a good one at that if you have nothing to lose you get way too big way too fast. Much good it does to kick you out of a house... Luckily my aunt took me in right around the time my partner got hooked into coke and I got out right before shit went really south

Minus the legality of everything, you should still stay home. Take a step back and look at the bigger picture, you're on the verge of providing for yourself because of a school teacher...? Does that make any sense lol! Food, a home, entertainment, a job, an education. Do you know how many kids would kill to have what you have? I don't personally know you but I'm assuming you have all this, go straighten things out with your teacher and your old man, it's not worth it in the long run, save yourself the trouble.

Imagine having a kid who you love unconditionally and watching him spiral into a coke addiction. You try your absolute hardest to get him help and try to get him to change his ways, but maybe you don't have the money to send him to rehab since you spent most of your savings simply raising him and maybe he's already stolen a lot of money from you to buy drugs. Imagine eventually deciding that the only chance of him kicking the habit is to take away everything that you've provided for him so he realizes that living as a junkie is unsustainable, but every single day you worry if that was the right decision and if maybe he will take it too far and end up dead on the street somewhere. Maybe you make questionable decisions out of sheer despair and not knowing the right thing to do, and maybe that leads to anger since you resent this kid for squandering everything you have worked so hard to give him, but at the same time all you care about is him growing up to find safety and success and you recognize that his drug problem is a manifestation of mental illness. I think it's more complicated than just "parent logic"

My mom kicked me out for a while when I was 17. I stayed with my sister, a few friends, and sometimes slept in my jeep(soft top- sucked) in the middle of winter.

I had a job working 30 hours a week so I made enough to pay for food, gas, insurance, and my phone bill. That's really all I needed. It's not a good way to live though. We never fixed things either but my dad let me come home after a few months. I still don't really say much to my mom.

I guess just don't be a smartass to your teacher. Apologize to her and your dad and do what you can to make it better. Living on your own is shitty when you're that young. I don't think you should consider it as an opinion dude.

Getting kicked out was the best thing that ever happened to me. When I got to highschool I started smoking a lot of weed and long story short, by the time I was 16 I was doing harder drugs. My parents got fed up and send me to wilderness rehab. I was there for 4 months and then got sent to a therapeutic boarding school in Utah for a year. Luckily I got to ski there all winter. Despite going to rehab and therapeutic boarding school I didn't think I had a drug problem and had no intentions of staying sober when I got out. I left the therapeutic boarding school in Utah when I was 18 and went to a prep school in Vermont for a post-graduate year. My drug use started where I left off and because worse and worse. I got kicked out of boarding school and my parents completely cut me off.

I realized at that moment that I was a drug addict with a serious problem and knew that I had to get sober. With a full pack and my skis, I hitched up to portland maine and crashed at a buddy's house.

Long story short, I've been sober and supporting myself for 2 years now. I'm 20, going to community college, and living with my girlfriend of 1.5 years. I haven lived at home since I was 16. Not being allowed at home and getting cut off was exactly what I needed. I know my story is completely different than yours, but the can be some good than can come of being kicked out.

You're totally right, I should have been more ear about that. I totally regret everything that happened and if I stopped fucking around in the beginning then I could probably be in a better place. At the same time, I'm happy we're I'm at now.

Overall, it would definitely be best to quit while you're ahead. You'll definitely save yourself and your parents a lot of shitty times. On the flip side, if you don't and decide to go down a similar path I did, working your ass off can get you where you need to be.

The choice is if you want things to be good now then stop. If you don't care, then it can take years to get to a good spot in your life and with your parents.

I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to glorify getting kick out and being a jackass

You can probably sue the fuck out of or press charges against parents who boot you out of the house before age 18.

I think I got threatened with being kicked out of the house 100 times in high school by my mom but I never left I just went to my room.

Tell your parents to fuck off and that you want to drive a truck and not be a doctor. I told people I wanted to be a doctor when I was 17 it was pretty dumb in retrospect because I did a lot of drugs and drank a lot but I wasn't a shithead and had good SAT scores and got into good colleges so you tell annoying old people shit like 'I wanna be a doctor.'

That said there are a lot of well to do families who will not accept anything less than their child finishing med school or law school. Forget just going to a decent college the kids are expected to get one of those degrees and it will be all paid for of course no debt. You'll appreciate being forced through that when you get into your late 20s and know for the rest of your adulthood you will always make a lot.

i dont talk to anyone in my class, im pretty quiet and just sorta hang around on here, i haven't been a done anything to offend my teacher, she is the only one that has a problem with me, all my other teachers are happy with my efforts and grades its just her and i dont know how to convince her im not a complete fuck up

No. You probably can't sue your parents if they kick you out at 15 (not sure where you live or what litigation is like there) and they will not be charged with anything unless they are abusing you.

What would probably happen is social services/child protection will get involved because you are still a minor. If your parents refuse to let you move home, they (social services) will look for alternative friends/family who are willing to care for you. If there are absolutely no options and your parents still refuse to take you back, you will be apprehended and sent to a foster home and the gov't is now your legal guardian. Congratulations. You are now a foster kid

At least that's what happens in Canada.

He may or may not be overbearing and strict, but the fact that he is going out of his way to help you, even if you don't see it that way.

Have you considered the thought he may be using scare tactics? like has he actually gone about and gathered up your shit, and talked to the police about the house arrest stuff? He might just be waging psychological warfare on you in an attempt to get you to clean your act up. Definitely could be a possibility, I personally know kids that got threatened a whole bunch of stuff by their parents, cleaned their act up, and all is good. And I also know kids whose parents said they were going to do stuff, their kid didn't get their shit straight, and they followed through with their promises.
