Jiberish has to step up their (quality control) game up.

Let me start with a little story. I've been a proud supporter of Jiberish for a long time now; I witnessed the company grow from a skier focused niche brand, to a company with street and fashion focused, forward thinking brand. A lot has changed since their inception. They even got featured in quite a few fashion sites, which I could've never imagined from their early years as a clothing company. Their grand cru line from this year speaks for themselves.

They are KILLING it.
And I love their clothes. Even my closets are filled with over half of their stuff.


Anyways, what I wanted to point out is that I've been recently disappointed with their quality control/checks. I mainly buy their clothes online, and expect a certain quality out of them, since I mostly pay around 100 for their button-downs. Now don't get me wrong, all of their apparels are quality stuff; I just wish that it wouldn't have some stuff missing when you get your package, and open it to wear it for the first time, and see this:


Do you see the missing thread? I cut it off so it wouldn't be too noticeable, but there was a two inch long thread just hanging from the stitches. This honestly isn't a huge problem, but its always a huge pain in the ass to iron the shirt since you have to align them correctly, because nothing is holding the cloth in line. And I saw this for the first time as I opened the shirt from its package.


I decided to make this thread, because I was really excited about today. Denver was freezing cold, and I was expecting my 'The Corton' Jacket to arrive. Once it did, I checked if everything was allright, and if it was worth the 250 I've worked my ass for to get this Jacket. Again, it's not a big deal but it had quite a few missing/misaligned stitches, etc.

(There are many more spots like this around the entire jacket)
I was quite disappointed when I spotted this for the first time. Again, quite a few threads were not aligned, and some longer ones where hanging out, which made me question about their quality control before it leaves their factory. You can call me picky, and tell me to stop caring about such little things. But think again, don't you expect some kind of quality when you drop this much of your hard earned dollars on a piece of clothing?

I do.

Anyways, what I wanted to say is that I'm not hugely satisfied with their quality control and wish that they would take more care of their proud work. I didn't write this thread because I wanted to call out Jiberish; I wrote this, because I care about their products, and because Im a huge fan of the brand. Regardless, I'll keep supporting the brand and hope that they'll do well in the coming years.

if it was so useless and disappointing why wouldn't you send a simple email just telling them? The guys at jiberish are all really cool and I'm 100% certain that they would either send you a gift card or have you return it and send you a new one, regardless they would have made it right. Its honestly so easy to just send them an email and it probably would have taken you 2 minuets.

Dude, I had the exact same problem with my sweats! The diamond stitching was coming apart and unraveling the first day I got em. For $85 this shouldnt be happening. Theyre gonna send me a new pair, but if they were all hand sewn the same way, how am I supposed to know if theyre gonna be any better or last any longer? It kinda sucks cause Jiberish is my #1 favorite company and I hate to see this.

I bought a t-shirt this summer and I got to say, you are right, their quality control has to get better. The stitching was worse than on any of my other t-shirts.

If your in Denver, why dont you just go to their store and buy it from them or just go into the store and talk to them about your issues. In person works much better than email.

I've had a button up where all of the buttons except 2 fell off. Got a hooded flannel where the button on the pocket was only in one side of the flap (like if I opened the flap both halves of the button would be attached because only one half was put in. And my a la mode has had at least half the stitching unravel

Drago always boasts about the quality of their products as an explanation as to why it seems their prices increase more and more each drop. Sorta odd to see the amount of quality issues, like the ones posted in this thread, increase as the quality is allegedly increasing...

I honestly thought they got bought out by a parent company or something.
Their prices have been going up, quality is getting shittier, and the designs are absolutely brutal.

anyone who is paying $120 for a wal mart hoodie with a shitty weed reference on it is either rich and careless or just fucking stupid.

and I know not all zippers last forever but every zipper has fallen off/broken on all of my jiberish stuff. if I'm paying upwards of $60 for a hoodie it better last more than a few years without needing repairs.

I hope that Jiberish looks at this as a sign of something. Their clothes are getting more and more expensive, but the quality doesnt seem to match their price.

the misaligned stitches on your Corton are clearly at seams. I don't think it was ever intended that the onion stitching lined up there.

Nah dude, its just a bad picture and hard to see. And I also cut off the dangling threads to make it less obvious. Anyways, its clearly coming off.

I just realized what you meant, and I guess we're not on the same page. I wasnt talking about the shape misaligning on the seams. That is normal. I was rather pointing out the fact that threads are coming off way too easily and some were even missing when I first opened it.

good for you, but you're still going to get more done. i get the whole consumer awareness angle but take it to gear talk or whatever where people actually give a shit about overpriced street clothing.

then you must be one of those 'I only wear it once' type guys cause everything I've ever bought from them has lasted about a year max without having a problem. by problem I mean graphics cracking, zippers falling off/becoming super wavy, and stitches coming out like its nobody's business. the ignant I bought was absolutely destroyed and torn apart along one side from about 3 days of riding.

the only reason I bought from them in the first place was because they had sick looking shirts. now that I can get the same thing at target (minus a trendy logo) for a fraction of the price I see no reason to every buy jiberish again. terrible company

Send us an email or give us a call at the office (303.339.0346). I need to see the issue with the Corton you are referring to as well to make sure we fully understand the issues you are having. The seams definitely would never match up on the stitch pattern because that fabric is insulated and stitched prior to construction, but if there is an issue with stitching I will definitely make sure you get yours replaced, no questions asked. It is the least we can do and we always stand by our products.

As for anyone else who has had an issue, I would encourage you to reach out to us and let us fix it for you. I am sure some people on here can attest to the level of service we provide in these issues and we have an extremely generous return policy.

For those talking about quality going down over the last 5 years I am not sure what to say. To compare our hoodies or button downs from 2009 to today is laughable. The sweatshirts we make now are literally 10x better than anything we produced in 2009 or earlier. We still work with the same factory but the detail and sewing reinforcements that go into the piece now in addition to the side gusset ribbing and increased weight of the cotton is like night and day.

But if anyone has an issue with anything, definitely email or call and we will get you sorted. Apologies to anyone who feels unsatisfied. We work our ass off to make the best clothing we can make and we usually achieve that. Sometimes there are errors as is human, but the majority of what we put out can stand up to and exceed anything in its price range.

The patches on my hoodies are peeling off and i haven't even skied in them yet/haven't washed them. I'm disappointed in the quality. Especially because I love the designs of their clothes. I just got the blue vest from their first winter drop and hopefully it holds up on the hill but we'll see.

Kids complaining about A la Mode's coming unstitched? You know that hoodie came out over 3 years ago, right? What is the expected lifespan of a hoodie? If you are going to wear it a lot it is going to break down, it's not outerwear.

I don't own any of the newer stuff except for a script hoodie and based on that piece it is a marketable improvement in quality from anything they've put out in the past. Comparing it to my old LoHi is crazy to see how much nicer they are now.

I've met way more people who flip out over their quality than the few same people who bitch on NS about it. If you have an issue email them. They always take care of it.

I can attest to how awesome Jiberish customer service is. I have had problems with sizing and stitching and they are the easiest company to communicate with I have ever done business with. They are quick to respond and super good about righting the problem. The quality of their clothes has drastically improved as well. I have an old black button up that all of the buttons fell off of and nothing like that has happened to anything I have got recently. I ordered the musigny coat and I am beyond excited to get it and I am certain it will be all I hoped it would.

While I have noticed that Jiberish button downs seem a tad less durable than other brands I never really minded because they have a dressier cut to them so I don't mind treating them a little more carefully. Now on the subject of defects I have noticed a two little discrepancies in the many things over bought from them. One was the divided zip u hoodie having the breast pocket sewn shut. I cut it loose and re-stiched the seam and it was not a big deal. Took like 5 mins and I could care less. The other thing I noticed was when I bought 2 medium pullover hoodies from them one of them seemed to have a different fit and was slightly stretched out. I just washed it in hot water and hung dry it and it seemed to be more like the other one. Now the one time that I had an actual quality issue what when I bought some pants. The seam on the ass pocket tore the first day I wore them. TBH it was probably my fault because I was pretty drunk that night but I sent a picture the tear to Jiberish's customer service explaining what happened and they sent me new pants for free. I even got to keep the old ones. Pretty baller customer service if you ask me.

tl;dr: Got super drunk first time wearing new Jiberish pants, ripped them and got another pair for free.

yeah i have had a few things like two of the hoodies/ jacket type things have been missing stitching on the bottom of the pocket. Which is fine I fixed it right away, but thats really not okay if i go buy something from a store to have that large of a malfunction.

I bought the biggest size Lohi hoodie they had at the beginning of last season and it is fucking gr8. The ribbing is solid, the inside is soft, and it's a prime riding hoodie. I also waited until it went from 120$ to 80$ because I'm not paying 120$ for a hoodie unless it comes with a blonde european model to blow me in my hoodie.

Still though, I've bough one Jiberish product, and it is the tits.

My a la mode unstitched the year I got it. And I wouks damn hope that a hoodie from 3 years ago would be going more then strong still especially at 80 bucks
